An elegant French opaline glass dish, stamped Made in France, set within a warm gilt/brass rim and raised on a sculptural leaf-form pedestal. The softly luminous opaline body glows with a gentle, milky translucent rainbow. Beautiful in natural light and candlelight alike.
Opaline glass was beloved in France in the late 19th and early 20th centuries for refined vanity and tabletop pieces. This bowl is perfect styled as a vanity dish, trinket bowl, centerpiece accent, or simply displayed as a standalone object.
